A mindfulness retreat is not always advisable for every person. Travel Information

IJS is not able to arrange transportation to and from the retreat center, but we encourage participants to coordinate travel directly with one another. You can find a ride share board here in which you can share information about travel to/from the retreat center.

Please plan to arrive at Wisdom House between 3:00-5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 13 to register and get settled. The retreat will begin with dinner at 5:30 pm and an opening session at 6:30 pm.

The retreat will end at 12 noon on Sunday, August 18. Participants are welcomed to stay through lunch at this time (or take it to go).

Participants are required to arrive on time and to stay for the duration of the retreat. If you have any extenuating circumstances, please share details here.

Dietary Information

The kitchen at Wisdom House is not kosher. There will always be gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian options. If you have additional needs or questions regarding Kashrut, please reach out to the Retreat Manager at [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Covid-19 Protocols

IJS is focused on the health and safety of our community. In regards to COVID-19, we are currently requiring the following:

- Each participant should purchase and take two rapid tests for Covid-19 in the week before the retreat. Both tests must be negative for you to take part in the retreat.

- The first of these tests will be three days before the retreat starts. For our retreat starting Tuesday, August 13, this means we ask you to take a test on Saturday, August 10.

- The second one will be taken on Tuesday, August 13, before the start of the retreat. You can do this at home before you leave for the retreat or, if necessary, before you register.

- Our retreat will be mask-optional in public spaces. It will be possible to dine outside for those who choose to do so.

- We ask that our of care for the well-being of our community while on retreat, please wear a mask if you will be attending any large indoor gatherings in the week prior to retreat and while traveling on public transportation to retreat.

- If you begin to experience symptoms while on retreat, we will ask you to please quarantine in your room and will support you in receiving nourishment and care.

Your safety is our priority. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 and consult with our medical advisory group as necessary. We may need to make adjustments to this plan and will keep you updated.

Retreat Costs and Financial Support

We understand that the costs for a retreat can be prohibitive. To help with this, we are offering three payment options for this retreat. Level 1 covers the actual cost of your participation.

If you need additional financial assistance, please request support using this form. Please request support before registering for the retreat. We will review your request promptly and be in touch with you about the level of support we are able to provide and how to register.

If you are a college student, we will ask that you first be in touch with your school's Hillel to inquire about funding for summer programs.
